Glidevale Protect TF200 Thermo Insulating Breather Membrane - 1.5m x 50m

Glidevale Protect TF200 Thermo is a breather membrane designed for high performance in the protection of external timber frame walls, offering secondary protection after construction to minimise the risk of interstitial condensation.

Durable and highly reflective, its surface also enhances the thermal performance of the wall’s final construction.

  • Aligned with STA Advice Note 18, with aged thermal resistance of 0.77m2K/W, incorporating printing and using typical 600mm stud centres.
  • Resists the passage of water, wind blown snow and dust into the interior of the building.
  • Low emissivity reflective surface enhances the thermal performance of the wall.
  • Helps to meet the Building Regulations requirements in the UK and Ireland.
  • Corrosion and damage resistant reflective surface.
  • UV and heat stabilised.
  • Good nail tear resistance compared with alternative membranes.
  • High burst strength, tough and durable.
  • Unaffected by conditions found in timber frame walls.
  • Meets the permeability requirements recommended by TRADA and NHBC.

Metric/Imperial Conversions


1 metre (1m) is approximately 3ft 3in (39.37in). 1 inch when converted to metric is 25.4mm.

However, when purchasing timber, you will find that there is usually a slight difference between the actual conversion measurement and the measurement used, for example, items measuring 1 inch may be sold as 25mm. Because the industry conversion is fractionally different than the actual imperial conversion, you should always measure in metric (mm, cm, m) to avoid any measurement mistakes.
